Redmen Boys score much needed victory over Tri-Valley

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team got a much needed victory over the Tri-Valley Mustangs, 50-44, in the DakXII/NEC Clash on Saturday, Feb. 1, in Madison. 

Sisseton jumped out to a 14-11 lead at the end of the first quarter, and extended the lead to 24-16 at halftime. The Redmen increased the lead to 40-30 at the end of the third quarter and held on to win 50-44. Sisseton competes in NEC-Region 1A

The Sisseton Redmen Gymnastics team competed in the NEC-Region 1A Gymnastics meet on Thursday, February 6, 2025 in Clear Lake, SD. 

The meet uses the same scores for both the NEC and the Region 1A meet but just the NEC schools compete in the NEC Tournament. 

Sisseton Gymnasts take fifth at Deuel Invite

The Sisseton Redmen Gym-nastics Team took fifth place at the Deuel Invite on Saturday, Feb. 1 with a team score of 131.850.

Sisseton’s Izzy Metz took seventh place in the All Around, scoring 8.800 on vault, 8.050 on bars, 8.700 on beam, and 8.750 on floor.

Sisseton Boys Wrestlers place 6 in top 8 at Lee Wolf Invite

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Wrestling Team placed six wrestlers in the top eight at the Lee Wolf Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 1, in Aberdeen.

Sisseton Girls Wrestlers place four at Lee Wolf Invite

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Wrestling Team placed all four wrestlers in the Lee Wolf Inviteon Saturday, Feb. 1, in Aberdeen. 

Vi Anderson took second place at 114 lbs., Maryann Rice took fourth at 165 lbs., Clara Iverson took sixth at 107 lbs., and Rae Fryer took seventh at 120 lbs. Sisseton defeats Clark/Willow Lake

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball Team defeated the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones 55-37 on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025 in Sisseton. 

Krista Langager lead the way for the Redmen with 24 ponts. Saylor Langager added 8 points. Elliot Hortness and Tara Nelson both hit for 7 points apiece. Sisseton Girls Defeat Britton-Hecla

The Sisseton Lady Redmen defeated the Britton-Hecla Braves 64-20 in a NEC matchup on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025 at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton.

Sisseton Downs Philip

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball team traveled to Sioux Falls to play in the Heritage Classic on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 with Sisseton downing the Philip Lady Scotties 69-41. 

Sisseton got off to a 17-10 lead after the first quarter, took a 28-20 lead into halftime and advanced the lead to 46-33 at the end of the third quarter. They had a big fourth quarter out scoring Philip 23-8 to bring home the victory. Redmen Boys get third win with victory over Redfield

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team scored its third win of the season on Saturday, Jan. 25, over the Redfield Pheasants 56-45. The Northeast Conference matchup was held at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton in a double header with the girls. 

Sisseton got off to a 19-14 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Redmen increased their lead in every quarter to keep the Pheasants just out of reach of a comeback.
