The Sisseton American Legion hosted the Legion Relays on Friday, May 1, with eleven teams participating.

Sisseton Girls Golfers take second at Aberdeen Invite

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Golf Team took second place at the Aberdeen Invite on Thursday, May 7, at Lee Park Country Club.

Sisseton’s Kenzley Heath took second place, Elliot Hortness took sixth place, and Mahree Geyer came in fifteenth.

Sisseton will travel to Madison on Thursday, May 14, and to Groton on Monday, May 18, for the NEC tournament. The Redmen will host the Sisseton Invite on Thursday, May 21.

Sisseton hosts NEC Softball Tournament

Brewster/Gunderson field in Sisseton was the site of the NEC Softball Tournament held on Saturday, May 2.

The Deuel Cardinals were the Champions, defeating Clark/Willow Lake 8-0. Redfield defeated Milbank 16-13, and Groton Area downed Sisseton 15-0 for fifth and sixth place.

No other stats were available at press time.

Sisseton Girls Golfers travel to Dell Rapids

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Golf Team traveled to Dell Rapids to compete in the Dell Rapids Invite on Tuesday, May 5.

Sisseton’s Kenzley Heath took eighth place. Elliot Hortness came in 25th, and Mahree Geyer came in 36th.

Sisseton will travel to Madison on Thursday, May 14, and compete in the NEC Golf Meet on Monday, May 18, at Groton Country Club.

Sisseton Legion Relays - was held on Friday May 1, 2026 at the Sisseton High School Athletic Complex. At press time the legion relays was not completed shown on the botom Nikki Hoeger won the second heat of the 100 meter dash, and finished second in the 100 meter dash. On the top is Carter Stickland clearing the pole vault bar 10 feet 3 inches, Stickland took fourth in the pole vault. The results of the Legion Relays will be in next weeks paper.

Sisseton Girls and Boys Track Teams travel to Groton

The Sisseton Redmen Track Teams traveled to Groton to compete in the Rob Luecke Invitational on Tuesday, Apr. 28, with 17 teams competing in the meet.

Sisseton’s Ryder Graff took second in the 1600 Meter Run and Holden Hawkins took fourth in the 400 Meter Dash to set the pace for the Redmen Boys. Both the 4x400 and the 4x800 Meter Relay Teams took third. 4x400 Relay Team members were Dawson Desjarlait, Brett Hansen, Holden Hawkins and Ryder Graff. Members of the 4x800 Meter Relay Team were Brett Hansen, Jackson Wegener, Bremer DeSpiegler and Noah Estwick.

Sisseton Girls Golfers host home Invitational at Valley View Golf Course

The Sisseton Redmen Girls Golf Team hosted the Sisseton Invite on Monday, Apr. 20, at the Valley View Golf Course/ Thirty girls from seven schools participated in the Golf home opener on a cold and windy day.

Sisseton’s Kenzley Heath took third place shooting a 99, and Elliot Hortness took fourth shooting a 101.

Mackenzie Wegehaupt of Aberdeen Roncalli was the medalist shooting a 94.

Sisseton will travel to Redfield on Thursday, Apr. 30, Milbank on Monday, May 4, and Dell Rapids on Tuesday, May 5.

The Sisseton Redmen Track Teams competed in the Orville Pfitzer Relays on Tuesday, Apr. 21, in Britton.

Setting the pace for the Redmen Girls was Nikki Hoeger, who took second in the Discus Throw and third in the Shot Put. Izzy Metz placed second in Pole Vault, and Elliot Hortness placed third in the 100 Meter Hurdles. Heath takes first at Milbank Golf Invitational

Sisseton’s Kenzley Heath shot a 78 to take first place at the Girls Invitational Golf Meet on Thursday, Apr. 23. Elliot Hortness shot a 90 to take eighth place.

Sisseton will travel to Aberdeen on Thursday, May 7, and Groton on May 11.

Sisseton softball team travels to Clark
