The Sisseton Redmen Girls Wrestling Team placed three girls in the top four at the Miller/Highmore/Harrold Girls Wrestling Tournament on Friday, Jan. 10.

Sisseton Girls Basketball Team gets much needed victory in Oakes

The Sisseton Redmen girls got a much needed victory 56-44 on Saturday, Jan. 11. in Oakes over the Oakes Tornadoes.

Sisseton got off to a great start taking a 15-12 lead at the end of the first quarter, increased the lead to 28-21 at halftime, and cruised to a 56-44 victory. The Sisseton Redmen Boys wrestling team traveled to Presho, SD on Saturday, Jan. 11, to compete in the Mid Dakota Monster tournament, with Sisseton placing seven wrestlers.

Roncalli Boys Basketball Team takes care of Sisseton Redmen

The Aberdeen Roncalli Cavaliers hosted the Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team in a Northeast Conference matchup on Thursday, Jan. 16, with Roncalli taking care of the Redmen handily, 70-37.

No stats were available at press time.

Sisseton will host Webster on Thursday, Jan. 23, in a double header, and host Redfield on Saturday, Jan. 25, in a double header.

Sisseton gymnasts take second at home meet

The Sisseton Redmen Gymnastics Team took second place in the Sisseton Invite on Saturday, Jan. 4, at Ben Reifel Gym.

Sisseton’s Izzy Metz took the all-around title, scoring 8.950 on vault, 8.100 on bars, 8.350 on beam, and 9.100 on floor to take first place on the vault and bars.

Sisseton Boys Basketball Team wins over Richland

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team scored its first win of the season on Friday, Jan. 3, against the Richland Colts in Colfax, ND.

Sisseton jumped out to a 12-9 lead at the end of the first quarter but had a slow second quarter and fell behind 19-27 at halftime. The Redmen came out strong in the second half and outscored the Colts 29-13 to bring home the victory.
