Sisseton Boys lose close one to Tri-State Tigers

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team lost a close game on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the NDSCS Classic in Wahpeton, ND. Sisseton fell to the Tri-State Tigers 64-66. Sisseton led 17-15 after the first quarter. Tri-State took the lead at half-time 35-34.

Sisseton Girls move to 17-1 with win over Deuel

The top ranked Class A Girls Basketball Team, the Sisseton Redmen, moved its record to 17-1 with a 65-26 victory over the Deuel Cardinals on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton.

The Deuel Cardinals outlasted the Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team in a Northeast Conference match-up on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Ben Reifel Gym. Deuel won 60-51.

Boys fall to Florence/Henry

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team fell to the Florence/Henry Falcons 34-56 on Thursday, Feb. 15, in a double header with the girls in Florence.

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team fell to the Tiospa Zina Wambdi 34-64 on Friday, Feb. 9, at Tiospa Zina.

Tiospa Zina jumped out to a 19-4 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back as they cruised to victory.

Girls victorious over Florence/Henry

In a close game, the Sisseton Redmen Boys Basketball Team fell 45-50 to Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones on Friday, Feb. 2, at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton.

The game was a back and forth one, with the Cycles ahead by two points, then the Redmen ahead by a couple of points, but the Cyclones made just enough free throws to hold on for the victory. The Sisseton Redmen Girls Basketball Team downed the Tiospa Zina Wambdi 83-28 on Thursday, Feb. 8, at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton.

Kristi Langager led the way for the Redmen with 34 points. Hannah Leverson added 9 points, and Emmalee Nielsen, Alexia Quinn and Elliot Hortness all scored 8 points for the Redmen. Sisseton has three champion wrestlers at Redfield Invite

Three Sisseton Redmen wrestlers won their weight classes at the Redfield Invite on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 2-3.

Sisseton champions were Kayden Tchida at 113 lbs., Ian Metz at 126 lbs., and Holden Hawkins at 144 lbs. Hughlin Current placed third at 165 lbs., and Blake Steiner took fourth at 120 lbs. Three Sisseton Girls Wrestlers compete in Harrisburg
