Northeast South Dakota Multi-Jurisdictional Criminal Enforcement Team formed

On November 16, 2023 the Northeast South Dakota Multi-Jurisdictional Criminal Enforcement Team (NESD MJCET) was formed.

The NESD MJCET is a task force consisting of members from the Roberts County Sheriff’s Office, Sisseton Police Department, Spink County Sheriff’s Office, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, and Day County Sheriff’s Office. The 31st Annual Holiday Harmonies Concert, sponsored by the Sisseton Arts Council with support from the Sisseton Ministerial Association, will be held on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church.

Asniyapi Health Clinic unveiled its new mobile field clinic on Thursday, Nov 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in conjunction with the National Rural Health Day. Asniyapi Health also celebrated its one year anniversary with an open house. The aim of the Clinic is to provide “medicine with out walls” with an emphasis on health status priorities identified in SWO health plan. Veterans Day Parade to be held Nov. 10

The Ft. Sisseton VFW Post #3342 and Sisseton American Legion Post #50 are sponsoring a Veterans Day Parade on Friday, Nov. 10. This is a great opportunity to honor and thank Veterans by participating in the parade or cheering as the Veterans pass by

The parade will start from the Sisseton High School parking lot at 2:15 p.m. All Veterans and the public are invited to participate in the parade.

VFW/American Legion Posts hold Membership Dinner

Fort Sisseton VFW Post #3342 and Otto-Quande- Renville American Legion Post #50 and their Auxiliaries held a combined Veterans Day Membership Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 26, at Rosalie’s in Sisseton.

VFW and American Legion Post Commanders facilitated the event, along with the leaders of the VFW and Legion Auxiliaries. VFW Commander Troy Foster served as emcee. VVCC Receives Donation of Bench in Memory of Keith Sharf

n memory of his good friend and golf partner, Keith Sharf, Harold (Kirk) Kirschgasler purchased the lovely bench pictured above for the clubhouse patio at the Valley View Country Club. Keith and Anita Sharf were long time members of Valley View Country Club who spent the winters in Palm Springs, CA, and had a summer home on Enemy Swim. Keith passed away at the age of 96. Anita continues living in California near her children. Keith and Anita were avid golfers and great supporters of Valley View. ~ Courtesy Photo
