Having reached the half-way point of the 2021-22 cold season, the National Weather Service has released a chart comparing the season so far to normal expected precipitation, snowfall and temperature readings from Oct. 1 to Jan. 15. Sisseton is above normal on all three measurements.
Sisseton has had its third wettest season thus far, having received 8.15” of precipitation, which is 4.25” above normal. Sisseton’s wettest season at the half-way point was in 1977-78, with 8.59”.
