Update on Commissioner Brian Heinecke’s court case
Roberts County Commissioner Brian Heinecke appeared in court at the Roberts County Courthouse in Sisseton on Thursday, Apr. 4, at 10:00 a.m. before the Hon. Marshall Lovrien, Circuit Court Judge. The result was that all charges were dismissed except for charge 3, which was for Contributing to Abuse, Neglect or Delinquency. Heinecke pled No Contest to that charge, which means he doesn’t admit to guilt but does not want to fight the charge.
Commissioner Heinecke was sentenced to a $250 fine, $90 court costs, and 30 days in the county jail. The Court suspended all of the jail time under conditions specified by the Court.
Commissioner Heinecke was reinstated to the Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, Apr. 2, at the weekly Commissioner meeting.
