Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Seminar to be held at Sisseton Wahpeton College Apr. 22

Sisseton Wahpeton College and the South Dakota Humanities Council will be sponsoring a Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Seminar on Monday, April 22, 2024. The event wil be held in the SWC Auditorium from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Melaine Stoneman, Program Manager SWO Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Program, will be the Presenter. Melaine is a member of Sahnish Scouts of North Dakota. They are a grass roots movement dedicated to advocating for MMIR families in cold cases and current missing loved ones. Melaine has been a MMIW family advocate for over ten years for Sahnish Scouts of North Dakota and has advocated for MMIW families from all over the United States and Canada.
