Roberts County Deputy seizes ten pounds of methamphetamine in I-29 drug bust

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, Apr. 5, 2022, a Roberts County Sheriff’s Deputy performed a routine traffic stop on a vehicle heading northbound on Interstate 29.
The deputy smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. While performing a search of the motor vehicle, ten pounds of methamphetamine (approximate street value $60,000-$100,000*) was located in the vehicle, as well as a loaded firearm, nearly one pound of marijuana, and a large amount of cash.
