Two people sentenced in federal court to serve on drug charges

On Mar. 14, 2023, Jevon McLeod aka “Buddy Traffick” was sentenced in federal court to serve 480 months, or 40 years in a federal prison. This sentence stems from a July 11, 2022 federal grand jury indict- ment. McLeod was convicted of supplying deadly fentanyl laced pills to Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate tribal members and elsewhere.

Tiara Bissonette was also sentenced to serve 57 months in federal prison for her part in the conspiracy to distribute fentanyl to the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate tribal members.
