Tiospa Zina Tribal School cancels classes March 15 after staff member reportedly tests positive for drugs

Tiospa Zina Tribal School Superintendent Craig Peterson sent the following notice to parents and guardians the afternoon of April 15:

Dear Tiospa Zina Tribal School Elementary School parents/guardians:

The purpose of this letter is to inform you of a situation that occurred with a staff member on the campus of Tiospa Zina Tribal School on Monday, April 15, 2024.

On Monday, April 15, 2024 a staff member showed up to work under the influence. Our administrative team along with our security team tested the staff member. The staff member tested positive for illicit drugs. Per our school policy law enforcement was notified.
