SD Middle School State Wrestling Champions

The South Dakota Middle School State Wrestling Championships were held in Pierre, SD on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026. Five hundred wrestlers in grades 6-8 from across the state competed in the tournament. Sisseton’s Eli Anderson (left) competed in a 40-man bracket and was the champion in the 106 lb. weight class. Eli Appel (right) competed in a 27-man bracket and was the champion in the 85 lb. weight class. The boys are Sisseton’s first South Dakota Middle School State Champions. ~ Courtesy Photo
