Local shooter qualified for Junior Olympic Nationals

Riley Spatz, a 16-year-old from rural Veblen, was invited to compete at the 2026 Shooting Pistol National Junior Olympic Championships at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO in the air pistol category. The match was held Apr. 15-20.

Riley, son of Nathan and Tara Spatz, has been training in a wide variety of shooting sports since he began participating in the Roberts County 4-H Shooting Sports program at age 11. He also trains and competes with the Roberts County Youth Shooters. His schedule is incredibly full.
