Local art collective to produce pop-up gallery

Anyone involved in the art community in Roberts County has likely met Markus Tracy. If they haven’t, they should. He’s back in town, working on multiple projects to enhance the community through art. One is a new artists collective called “The New Old,” and a pop-up art show scheduled for Oct 14-15.

Tracy is a multidisciplinary artist who has spent decades creating “socially-engaged” art. That means he engages the community, whether a school, a town, or a city, in creating art that reflects their culture and revitalizes or supports the community’s sense of identity.
