Hills & Valley Riding Club holds 3rd Annual Miles Nelson Ranch Rodeo

Triple J Cattle Co. placed second. Team members were (left to right) Travis Johnson, Tate Johnson, Tyan Johnson and Sidney Johnson. They earned $720 in prize money, plus an additional $400 for winning the Relay Race event.

Third place went to the H Bar Heart Ranch team. Team members were Justin Hanson, Ethan Schmid, Calvin Thompson and Wyatt Janisch. They took home $480 in prize money, plus an additional $400 for winning the Trailer Loading Event.

Hills & Valley Riding Club’s 3rd Annual Miles Nelson Ranch Rodeo was held Friday, Aug. 23, at the Miles Nelson Arena in Sisseton. Teams competed in five events: Sorting, Doctoring, Stray Gathering, Trailer Loading, and Relay Race. There were eight teams competing this year for prize money.
