Cross Country Team travels to Britton

The Sisseton Redmen Cross Country Team traveled to Britton to compete in the Britton-Hecla Invitational Meet on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Curtis Bissonette Jr. took seventh place, running the 5K run in 20:04.98.

Isaac Smith of Groton Area was the medalist for the boys, running the 5K in 18:10.59.

Norah Entzi of Edgeley/Kulm was the medalist for the girls, running the 5K in 19:47.67.

The Cross Country Team will travel to Aberdeen Roncalli on Thursday, Sept. 17, and Ortonville on Monday, Sept. 21.

Sisseton volleyball team suffers first loss at Hankinson

The Sisseton Redmen Volleyball Team suffered its first loss of the season on Tuesday, Sept. 8, against the Hankinson Pirates, 20-25, 11-25 and 17-25, in Hankinson.

The Sisseton Redmen Volleyball Team knocked off the Groton Area Tigers 25-21, 25-21, 25-20 in a Northeast Conference match held in Sisseton on Thursday, Sept. 10. 

Kranhold takes second at Groton Area Golf Invite

Sisseton’s Andrew Kranhold placed second at the Groton Area Invite Golf Tourney on Thursday, Sept. 10, at Olive Grove Golf Course in Groton. Kranhold shot a 76 (38-38).

Teammate Mason Gray shot a 90 (47-43), and Spencer McCleerey shot 161 (83-78). Sisseton will travel to Redfield on Tuesday, Sept. 15

SHS football team falls to 1-2 with loss to EPJ

The Sisseton Redmen Football Team fell to the Elk Point -Jefferson Huskies 16-37 on Friday, Sept. 4, in Elk Point, moving Sisseton’s record to 1-2 on the year.

Sisseton got on the scoreboard first with a 39 yard touchdown pass from Anthony Tchida to Andrew Kranhold and a two-point conversion by Kranhold to make the score 8-0 Sisseton. Sisseton volleyball goes to 2-0 with win over Milbank

The Sisseton Redmen Volleyball Team traveled to Milbank to take on the Milbank Bulldogs in a Northeast Conference match on Thursday, Sept. 3. Sisseton defeated Milbank 25-15, 25-22 and 25-17 to move their record to 2-0. Milbank fell to 0-3.

Redmen win an exciting one

The Sisseton Redmen football team defeated the Groton Area Tigers 22-20 in an exciting game on Friday, Sept. 11 at the Sisseton Athletic Complex on a wet and slippery field.

The Sisseton Redmen Cross Country Team opened the season in Milbank at Whetstone Creek Golf Course on Monday, Aug. 31.

Curtis Bissonette Jr. took sixth place to pace the Redmen. Curtis ran the 4K in 15:44.15. Nick Batchelor of Milbank was the medalist. Nick ran the 4K in 12:57.31. T

Sisseton golfers take sixth at Hub City Invite

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Golf Team took sixth place in the Hub City Invite on Tuesday, Sept. 1, in Aberdeen.

Blake Nielsen led the way for the Redmen shooting an 83 to take 15th place. Riley Steen came in 22nd shooting an 88, Andrew Kranhold came in 25th shooting a 90, Mason Gray came in 39th shooting a 99, and Spencer McCleerey came in 65th shooting a 163.

Caleb Barse of Tiospa Zina took tenth place shooting a 79. Quincy Abbey came in 40th shooting a 99, Kenneth Johnson took 64th shooting a 137. Frank Barse withdrew from the tourney.

Volleyball team off to a good start with win over Wilmot

The Sisseton Redmen Volleyball Team got off to a good start with a 3-0 victory (26-24, 25-1, and 25-25) over the Wilmot Wolves on Tuesday, Aug. 25, in Wilmot.

Kelsey Heath led the way for the Redmen, going 18-18 serving with 5 kills. Hailey Nelson went 50-52 setting, and Avery Despiegler had 1 block.
