One person died last Wednesday evening, June 14, in a two-vehicle crash southeast of New Effington, SD.
Preliminary crash informa- tion indicates that a Harley Davidson golf cart was driving westbound near mile marker 233 on SD Highway 127. A 2010 Ford F150 pickup was driving eastbound near mile marker 233 on SD Highway 127. The golf cart crossed the center line and collided with the F150 pickup.
Luciel Kohl of Canton, SD, the 19-year-old driver of the golf cart, died at the scene of the crash. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
