The Trust Committee for the Welk Family Foundation of Sisseton awarded grants totaling $185,118 for 2023. Since 1988, the foundation has awarded more than $4 million. Each Welk Family Foundation grant is an outright gift to the recipient. The estates of the Welk family members, who have farmed in the Sisseton area for many generations, fund the foundation.
