Sisseton Redmen Boys end season at Region 1A with tough loss to Britton/Hecla

FLUTE SHOOTS FOR THREE — Sisseton freshman Derrick Flute shoots an open three point shot in an attempt to get the Redmen a win over the Britton/Hecla Braves. The Redmen came up short in a barn burner 49-51 loss to the Braves.

The Redmen Boys Basketball team traveled to Britton for the Region 1A game against the #4 team in the Region, the Britton/Hecla Braves, on Tuesday, Mar. 4, at the Britton gymnasium.

The Redmen started out strong with a five point lead, before the Braves bounced back and took the lead just before the end of the first quarter. Britton outscored the Redmen in the second quarter to take a 21-11 lead at halftime. The Redmen came out the second half and cut the lead to as close as one point a couple times in the second half but just couldn’t get the ball to fall in to ever take the lead, with a final score of 49-51.
