Sisseton Golf Team takes fifth in Groton

The Sisseton Redmen Boys Golf Team took fifth place at the Groton Area Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 12.

Sisseton was led by Carter Stickland’s tenth place finish shooting an 86. Luke Nielsen took 24th place shooting a 94, Bradley Hansen took 26th shooting a 100, Reed Gray shot a 101 to take 28th, Cash Opsal shot a 105 to take 31st, and Dana BraveBull took 34th shooting a 113.

Groton Area won the team title. Tate Steffensen of Sioux Valley was the medalist shooting a 74. Jonathan DeBoer of Milbank was two shots behind, shooting a 76.

Sisseton will travel to Redfield on Tuesday, Sept. 17, and host the Sisseton Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 26.
