Sisseton holds on to beat Tiospa Zina

The Sisseton Redmen volleyball team held on to beat the Tiospa Zina Wambdi 3-1 on Tuesday, Oct. 7, in a Northeast Conference match at Tiospa Zina.
The Redmen had to come back in the first game. They were trailing 10-16 and ended up winning the game 25-17. Sisseton took the second game 25-10, but in the third game, Tiospa Zina made a late run to pull off the victory 25-23 before the Redmen closed out the match winning the fourth game 25-7.
Amanda Reinart had 15 kills on 43 attempts for the Redmen. Brianna Medenwald had 11 kills on 20 attempts and 3 blocks. Cami Goodhart went 84-84 setting with 30 assists and 28-28 serving with 4 aces. Makenzy Frederick had 10 digs.
Luta Christenson led the way for the Wambdi with 6 kills and 19-24 serving with 6 aces. Bethany Robertson chipped in with 7 kills and 6 blocks. Fidelity Eastman was 30-34 setting, and Persephone Eastman had 7 digs.
The Redmen will host Canby on Tuesday, Oct. 14, and Milbank on Thursday, Oct. 16.
Tiospa Zina will host Waubay on Tuesday, Oct. 14, and Wilmot on Thursday, Oct. 16.
