Redmen fall to Sioux Falls Christian

The Sisseton Redmen football team fell to the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers 37-6 at the Sisseton Athletic Complex on Friday, Oct. 17.
Sisseton’s only points came on a 21-yard run by Dustin Lehrke in the third quarter with 9:35 left. Lehrke finished the game with 67 yards rushing on seven carries. Hunter Medenwald finished the game 5-11 passing for 50 yards and two interceptions.
Keegan VanEgdom led the way for Sioux Falls Christian with 224 yards rushing on 26 carries and one touchdown. Jackson Olson chipped in with 170 yards on 23 carries, four touchdowns and two interceptions on defense.
John Meland led the Redmen defense with 12 tackles. Nick Peterson had eight tackles and one interception.
Carter VanGorp had six tackles to pace Sioux Falls Christian.
The Redmen will travel to Groton on Thursday, Oct. 23.
