Bulldogs spoil Redmen homecoming
The second ranked Madison Bulldogs spoiled the fourth ranked Sisseton Redmen homecoming 48-12 on Friday, Sept. 19 at the Sisseton Athletic Complex.
Matthew Neiland scored the first touchdown for the Redmen on a fumble recovery for 70 yards. Josh Currence scored the second Redmen touchdown on a nine yard run late in the fourth quarter. Both points after were no good.
Mitch Hansen threw three touchdown passes and ran for another to lead the Bulldogs.
Madison gained 225 yards on 33 carries and threw for 231 yards. Hansen completed 19 of 28 passes for 231 yards. Brodie Frederiksen ran 17 times for 125 yards. Mason Hemmer caught three passes for 82 yards.
Sisseton finished with 128 yards rushing on 40 carries. Dustin Moshier had nine carries for 58 yards and Josh Currence added 34 yards on 11 carries.
Matthew Neiland and Nick Peterson were in on eight tackles each to lead the Redmen Defense. Dustin Lehrke and Dustin Moshier had seven tackles each.
Jackson Jones had eight tackles to pace the Bulldogs with Marcus VandenBosch adding seven tackles.
The Redmen will travel to Tea on Friday, Sept. 26.
